Place the tip of the thermometer under the tongue, in the armpit (axillary), or rectally. For oral use, keep your mouth closed and breathe through your nose. For axillary use, ensure the armpit is dry and hold your arm firmly against your body.
Wait for the thermometer to beep or signal that it has completed the measurement. This usually takes a short time, as indicated in the device's instructions.
Read the temperature displayed on the digital screen. Record the temperature for your reference.
