Mepiform is a fine and discreet dressing designed for the treatment of hypertrophic and keloid scars, both new and old. It can also be used as prophylactic therapy in closed wounds to prevent the formation of hypertrophic scars or keloids. With Safetac, it also minimizes pain when changing the dressing. Directions for Use: 1. Clean and dry the scar area thoroughly. 2. Cut Mepiform to a size slightly larger than the scar, leaving at least 1cm overlap. 3. Remove the protective release liner. 4. Apply Mepiform directly to the scar, ensuring smooth adhesion without stretching. 5. If necessary, secure the edges with medical tape. 6. Mepiform can be worn for up to 7 days, even during showering or bathing.
Recommended Frequency: For optimal results, wear Mepiform continuously for 24 hours a day. Replace the dressing every 7 days or sooner if it becomes detached or soiled. Treatment duration varies depending on the scar's maturity and individual response, but typically ranges from 2 to 6 months for newer scars and potentially longer for older scars.
