Hartmann Thermoval Kids Flex Digital Thermometer

Instructions for Use:

1. Clean the thermometer tip with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry. 2. Turn on the thermometer by pressing the power button. 3. Select the desired measurement site: Oral, Rectal, or Axillary (armpit). Note: Rectal measurements are generally the most accurate for infants and young children.
4. For oral use, place the flexible tip under the tongue towards the back of the mouth. Close the mouth and keep the thermometer in place until it beeps.
5. For rectal use, apply a small amount of water-based lubricant to the tip. Gently insert the tip no more than 1/2 inch into the rectum. Hold the thermometer in place until it beeps.
6. For axillary use, place the tip in the armpit and ensure the arm is held close to the body. Keep the thermometer in place until it beeps.
7. Once the measurement is complete, the thermometer will beep. Remove the thermometer and read the temperature displayed on the LCD screen. 8. Clean the thermometer tip again after each use. 9. The thermometer will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity.

Recommended Frequency:

Use as needed to monitor temperature. When concerned about a fever, measurements can be taken every 30-60 minutes to track changes. Always consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns about your child's health.

Additional Tips:

1. For accurate readings, ensure the child remains still during the measurement. 2. Do not eat or drink anything hot or cold for at least 15 minutes before taking an oral temperature. 3. Store the thermometer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. 4. Replace the battery when the low battery indicator appears. 5. Always consult your pediatrician or healthcare provider if you have any questions or concerns about your child's temperature or health.
