Instructions for Use: 1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. 2. Inspect the syringe for any damage or irregularities. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or the syringe appears compromised. 3. Prepare the insulin vial according to your doctor's instructions. This may involve cleaning the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab. 4. Draw air into the syringe equal to the prescribed insulin dose. 5. Insert the needle into the insulin vial and inject the air. 6. Invert the vial and draw the insulin into the syringe to the correct dose. 7. Check for air bubbles. If present, gently tap the syringe to dislodge them and push them back into the vial. Readjust the dose if necessary. 8. Select an injection site according to your doctor's recommendations. Common sites include the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate injection sites to prevent skin problems. 9. Pinch a fold of skin at the injection site. 10. Insert the needle straight into the pinched skin at a 90-degree angle. 11. Release the pinched skin and inject the insulin slowly and steadily. 12. Withdraw the needle and apply gentle pressure to the injection site with a clean cotton ball or gauze. Do not rub the injection site. 13. Dispose of the used syringe safely in a sharps container.
Recommended Frequency: Use as directed by your healthcare professional. Insulin dosage and frequency are determined by individual needs and blood sugar levels. Consult your doctor for specific instructions.
Additional Tips: Always use a new syringe for each injection to prevent infection and ensure accurate dosing. Store insulin and syringes according to the manufacturer's instructions. Keep a record of your insulin injections and blood sugar levels. Contact your healthcare provider if you have any questions or concerns about your insulin therapy.
