FLORAÏKU Paris is a niche perfumery house founded in 2017 by Clara and John Molloy, also creators of Memo Paris. The brand was born from their fascination with Japanese culture and the deep connection between nature, poetry, and traditional Asian rituals. Their creative universe fuses the savoir-faire of French perfumery with the delicacy and refinement of ceremonies inspired by tea, flowers, and incense, giving life to unique fragrances conceived as authentic olfactory poems.
The name FLORAÏKU combines “Flora”, in homage to the beauty of the plant world, and “Haiku”, the famous three-line Japanese poetic form. Each of the brand's creations is inspired by this philosophy, with elegant and evocative compositions that celebrate nature's most beautiful moments and human emotions. Ingredients
Gong, owes its name to one of its ingredients: the Dorayaki accord. Delicately sweet, like the small, filled cake so popular at teatime from which it takes its inspiration, its round shape is similar to that of the gong.
The gong or the sacred, ritual instrument whose sound soothes, generates harmony and leads to a state of inner peace and joy. In fact, "Dora" means gong in Japanese, bringing us full circle. Our gong marks the happy hour of tea, a deep sound marking a ceremony of simplicity, harmony and mindfulness. Legend has it that the first dorayaki were made when a samurai named Benkei forgot his gong (dora) upon leaving a farmer's home where he was hiding, and the farmer subsequently used the gong to fry the pancakes.
