Creed was founded in 1760 by James Henry Creed, quickly becoming a favourite of the English Court. Queen Victoria, Empress of India, appointed them as an official supplier to the Royal Household.
Thereafter, the House of Creed was sought after by all the courts of Europe: from Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie, to Franz Joseph and Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary, and Queen Christina of Spain. Their creations were renowned for their quality, elegance, and originality.
In 1854, Empress Eugénie moved to Paris, and the firm followed. Due to the exquisite nature of its fragrances, Creed rapidly gained fame. Frequented by a discerning clientele, the brand created unique perfumes, true works of art in composition, tailored to each individual's preference.
Over 200 handcrafted and exclusive formulas have been created. The formulas are crushed, mixed, macerated, and filtered by hand, adhering to the pure tradition of founder James Henry Creed.
Passed down from father to son, and currently in the hands of Olivier Creed, sixth-generation master perfumer, Creed remains a staunch advocate for the use of natural ingredients.

Top Notes: A vibrant and refreshing opening bursts forth with sparkling citrus notes. Mandarin orange provides a sweet and juicy character, while bergamot adds a touch of zesty bitterness. Verbena contributes a clean, lemony-green nuance, enhancing the overall invigorating feel.
Heart Notes: As the citrus top notes subside, an aromatic heart emerges. Basil lends a herbaceous and slightly spicy aroma, while cumin introduces a warm, earthy facet. Juniper berry adds a crisp, piney freshness, creating a unique and dynamic interplay of scents.
Base Notes: While the original description doesn't specify base notes, based on the provided ingredients and the common understanding of Creed Royal Water, the base likely reinforces the aromatic-fresh theme. The existing heart notes, particularly the cumin and juniper berry, likely persist, providing a lingering warmth and dryness. Musk (not mentioned but often present) could contribute a subtle, sensual undertone, while ambergris (also a possibility) could add a touch of salty marine depth and enhance longevity.
