Even though Geek & Gorgeous is a young brand, if I want to go back to our beginnings, that would be more than 15 years ago. I was 17 when I developed horrible acne. For years, I tried out a bunch of things including tons of cosmetic products, facials, and visits to the dermatologist. What eventually helped was not some miracle cure but me starting to learn about skincare and clinically proven active ingredients. After years of randomly trying things and failing, I started to obsessively read and learn. I read all the books by Paula Begoun and then went on to read the famous Cosmetic Dermatology book by Dr. Leslie Baumann. I read more and more science based skincare blogs, forums, and eventually research studies. In 2019, I completed the SCS Diploma in Cosmetic Science issued by the Society of Cosmetic Chemists in the UK.

A silky, rich textured jelly cleanser designed to cleanse the skin thoroughly without drying it out or disrupting the skin barrier. Two very gentle yet effective surfactants join forces in this all-skin types & all skin-problems formula to cleanse the skin and dissolve (water-soluble) makeup. It does not sting the eyes, has a low, skin-friendly pH (~5-5.4) and is the most universally usable (or we could say, jolly joker) cleanser we could think of.

How to use: 1. Wet your face with lukewarm water.
2. Dispense a small amount of Geek & Gorgeous Jelly Joker into your hands.
3. Gently massage the cleanser onto your damp face in circular motions for about 30-60 seconds.
4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
5. Gently pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
Recommended frequency: Use once or twice daily, morning and/or evening, as part of your cleansing routine.
Additional tips: For removing makeup, you can apply the cleanser to dry skin first, massage to dissolve makeup, then wet your hands and continue massaging before rinsing. This cleanser is gentle enough for daily use, even on sensitive skin. If you experience any irritation, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Store in a cool, dry place.
Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Ascorbyl Glucoside (15%), Ethoxydiglycol, Xanthan Gum, Allantoin, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate Warnings: Perform a patch test before applying to the entire face, especially if you have sensitive skin. Ascorbyl Glucoside, while generally well-tolerated, can cause irritation or redness in some individuals. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
