Neo evening primrose is a plant rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids. The most important of them is Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), which is part of the so-called Omega-6 fatty acids. These substances contribute to good cardiovascular, bone and hormonal health. Evening primrose oil plays a greater role in the female hormonal balance, regulating the symptoms associated with menstrual disorders and breast inflammation (mastitis), according to various scientific studies. This is due to the natural anti-inflammatory capacity of Omega-6 fatty acids. But other virtues associated with this ingredient are known, such as the control of blood cholesterol and blood pressure; hydration of the skin to calm irritations; or bone consolidation, thanks to its ability to promote calcium absorption and decrease its excretion through urine.
