Directions for Use:
1. Ensure the skin is clean and dry before application. Remove any oils, lotions, or residue.
2. Cut the desired length of Medipore tape using sharp scissors. Avoid tearing the tape, as this can create uneven edges. 3. Peel back the protective paper backing from one end of the tape. 4. Apply the adhesive side of the tape to the skin, starting at one end and smoothing it down firmly as you go. Avoid stretching the tape excessively. 5. Press the tape firmly onto the skin to ensure proper adhesion. 6. If necessary, overlap strips of tape slightly to create a secure hold. Avoid completely wrapping the tape around a limb, which could restrict circulation.
Recommended Frequency:
Medipore tape can be left in place for several days, depending on the application. For dressings, change the tape and dressing as directed by your healthcare professional. For securing devices, monitor the tape's adhesion regularly and replace if necessary. If the tape becomes soiled or loses its adhesion, replace it promptly.
Additional Tips:
1. For sensitive skin, test a small area before applying the tape extensively. 2. Avoid applying the tape directly over wounds or irritated skin. 3. To remove the tape, gently peel it back from the skin in the direction of hair growth. If necessary, use warm water or adhesive remover to aid removal. 4.
