How to Use:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
2. Fold the Lily Cup: There are several folding methods, such as the "C-fold," "Punch-down fold," or "7-fold." Experiment to find the one that works best for you.
3. Insertion: Relax your pelvic floor muscles. Hold the folded cup firmly and gently insert it into the vagina, aiming towards your tailbone. The cup should fully open inside. You may need to rotate it slightly to ensure a proper seal.
4. Check the Seal: Once inserted, run a finger around the base of the cup to feel if it has fully opened and created a seal. If it hasn't, gently rotate or re-position the cup.
5. Wear for up to 12 hours: The Lily Cup can be worn for up to 12 hours, even overnight.
6. Removal: Wash your hands thoroughly. Relax your pelvic floor muscles. Reach inside and locate the stem. Gently pull the stem downwards until you can reach the base of the cup. Pinch the base of the cup to break the seal and carefully remove it.
7. Emptying and Cleaning: Empty the contents into the toilet. Rinse the cup thoroughly with clean water. You can also use a mild, unscented soap. Ensure the air holes are clear.
8. Storage: After cleaning, allow the Lily Cup to air dry completely before storing it in the provided breathable pouch.
Recommended Frequency:
Empty and clean your Lily Cup every 8-12 hours, or as needed depending on your flow.
Additional Tips:
For beginners: Practice inserting and removing the cup in the shower or bath to get comfortable.
Trimming the stem: If the stem is uncomfortable, you can trim it slightly, but be careful not to cut too much.
