Okay, so I'm super new to doing gel nails at home. This kit seemed like a good place to start, and it kinda was? The colors are really pretty, but I definitely needed to use a good base coat underneath (not this one) for them to last. I also used a different top coat to get a super shiny finish. So, like, the kit is okay, but you'll probably need other stuff too.
