No coding chip: The Accu-Chek Aviva meter no longer needs the coding chip, making measurement easier and faster.

Test blood glucose
Insert a test strip into the meter and check that the code on the display matches the code on the test strip container. The strip and blood drop symbols appear on the display.
Apply the drop of blood to the front end of the yellow area of the test strip (do not apply it to the test strip). A flashing hourglass indicates that enough blood has been applied. The result is then displayed on the screen.
In addition to fingertip blood sampling, it is possible to use the Accu-Chek Aviva system to test alternative sites, such as the palm, forearm, upper arm, thigh or calf.1 A special lancet is required to sample other parts of the body.
