It helps you and your baby during breastfeeding* A varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are very important also after pregnancy and childbirth: they help you regain strength and cope with new tasks and challenges; for example, if you choose to breastfeed your baby. Breastfeeding helps you form a strong bond with your baby and also provides essential nutrients. Generally, breast milk production begins two or three days after delivery. If you are breastfeeding, you will produce approximately 300 to 500 ml of milk per day for the first week. This can increase to 600 to 700 ml per day, depending on your baby's needs. The amount of milk you produce, its composition and nutrients are largely influenced by your lifestyle and diet. Additionally, breastfeeding your baby places demands on your body, increasing the energy you need and micronutrient needs. During the breastfeeding period, the mother's nutritional needs for certain nutrients increase. For example, special care must be taken to ensure an adequate supply of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA. Maternal intake of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and breastfed infant. The beneficial effects of DHA are obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250 mg of omega-3 fatty acids for adults (DHA + EPA). Femibion® 3 provides you with carefully selected ingredients, such as DHA, that can help you during this period as a complement to a varied diet. It also contains folic acid, vitamins D and A, iron, calcium, choline, lutein and other additional nutrients (iodine, selenium, zinc, vitamins B, C and E). Iron helps reduce tiredness and fatigue, while calcium is necessary to maintain bones in normal conditions. Choline contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism. Choline needs are highest during lactation. Femibion® 3 includes lutein and the omega-3 fatty acid DHA in an additional capsule. Lutein gives the capsule its characteristic color.

FOLIC ACID A B vitamin that is converted to folate in the body. Folate contributes to normal blood cell formation and cell division. METAFOLIN® It is an “active form” of folate, which is directly available in your body and does not need to be transformed. Metafolin® is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. CALCIUM It is necessary for the maintenance of bones in normal conditions. LUTEIN It is a carotenoid found in several plants, including many fruits and vegetables. It gives the characteristic color to the capsule. HILL Contributes to the normal metabolism of homocysteine. Choline needs are highest during lactation. DHA It is recommended that pregnant and breastfeeding women take an additional 200 mg of DHA daily, as it contributes to the normal brain and eye development of the fetus and breastfed infant. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, i.e. 250 mg of DHA and EPA. IODINE Contributes to normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. VITAMIN C Contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. VITAMIN E AND SELENIUM They contribute to the protection of cells against oxidative damage. VITAMIN A It contributes to the maintenance of vision under normal conditions and the normal functioning of the immune system. VITAMIN D AND ZINC They contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system and the process of cell division. IRON AND PANTOTHEIC ACID They help reduce tiredness and fatigue. VITAMIN B1, B2, BIOTIN and NIACIN They contribute to normal energy metabolism and the normal functioning of the nervous system. VITAMIN B6 and B12 They contribute to the normal formation of red blood cells.

Take 1 tablet a day with enough water.
Warnings and conservation:
Femibion 3: It should not be taken during the first trimester of pregnancy due to its vitamin A content. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of little kids. Food supplements should not be used as substitutes for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store in a cool, dry place.
