Heliocare® Ultra D is de eerste en enige orale foto-immunoprotector met vitamine D. Geformuleerd met Fernblock®, het enige middel waarvan tot op heden is aangetoond dat het vanaf de eerste dosis en in één enkele dosis een beschermende werking heeft; het beschermt de natuurlijke afweer van de huid, beschermt en herstelt het DNA van de cellen, neutraliseert vrije radicalen en versterkt de huid, waardoor deze wordt beschermd tegen erytheem. Het bevat ook andere antioxidant-actieve bestanddelen die de foto-immunoprotectieve werking versterken, zoals vitamine C en E en lycopeen. Het bevat ook luteïne om het slijmvlies van het oog te beschermen.
Heliocare Ultra D is geïndiceerd voor de huid met een bijzondere intolerantie voor de zon, zonneallergieën, polymorfe lichteruptie, zeer lichte fototypes, huidoneffenheden, fotosensibiliserende behandelingen en een voorgeschiedenis van huidkanker. Aanbevolen wordt dagelijks een capsule in te nemen vóór blootstelling aan de zon en deze te gebruiken als aanvulling op een plaatselijke fotoprotectie, d.w.z. dat tijdens blootstelling aan de zon een geschikte plaatselijke fotoprotectie moet worden toegepast.
