ActiveComplex Melatonin consists of white tablets, each of which contains 1 mg of the active ingredient melatonin and also 10 mg of vitamin B3 (niacin), which is a precursor of melatonin. Melatonin can be taken from the age of 12. It is recommended to be taken half an hour before bedtime. Melatonin is rapidly absorbed within 30 minutes to an hour after ingestion. The indications for use are to reduce the time it takes to fall asleep and to alleviate the symptoms of jet lag.
Please also note that ActiveComplex Melatonin contains niacin. For the production of niacin, the body requires tryptophan, which the body also uses to synthesise melatonin. Adding 10 mg of niacin to the product saves 600 mg of tryptophan. Take ActiveComplex Melatonin half an hour before bedtime. The effect can be optimised by taking it at the same time every night.
