1. Clean and dry the skin thoroughly before applying the plaster. Ensure the area is free from any creams, lotions, or oils. 2. Cut the required length of Leukoplast from the roll using scissors. Avoid touching the adhesive surface. 3. Remove the protective backing paper and carefully apply the plaster to the skin, smoothing it down firmly from the center outwards to avoid wrinkles and air bubbles. 4. Ensure the plaster adheres securely to the skin, covering the wound or dressing completely. 5. If necessary, overlap multiple strips of plaster to achieve the desired coverage, ensuring a slight overlap between strips.
Recommended Frequency:
Change the plaster as needed, typically daily or when it becomes soiled or loses its adhesion. Inspect the wound regularly. If the plaster gets wet, replace it immediately.
Additional Tips:
1. For sensitive skin, consider applying a thin layer of skin protectant before applying the plaster. 2. Avoid applying the plaster too tightly, as this can restrict blood flow. 3. Store the remaining roll in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its adhesive properties. 4.
