The constant search for qualitative raw materials is crucial for the achievement of a great result. The same formula performed with materials coming from different suppliers will sort out a different olfactory profile.
My perfumes are conceived in my laboratory in Amsterdam. When the formula is ready, I can finally order the raw materials in order to mix them.
The resulting concentrate is then sent out to an artisanal atelier in Italy which put it in alcohol, let it age, and then take care of packing it.
The creation of a perfume is a very long and complex process, and it takes me a hermit life to devise a formula which I then blend, holding my breath at every drop I add as in a sacred ritual.
At those ecstatic and silent moments, I feel like an alchemist which – through a transformation – gives birth to something new, which is not the simple addition of different materials.
After I graduated in History of Art in Florence, my passion for perfume making started, by a book on natural perfumery and a handful of essential oils. Since then, I’ve been studying and experimenting on my own. I have resided in many cities – Florence, Berlin, Luxembourg, Amsterdam – while working in art book publishing.
Once in Amsterdam – where I currently live – I decided to quit my previous job and launch my own line of perfumes.

The Making Of Sex and The Sea + Neroli
This perfume came out just for fun: What happens if I get my Sex and The Sea – an extrovert, sexy, warm scent – and combine it with my Neroli reconstitution – a shy, sharp, hypnotic smell?
Mind you, things didn’t happen that easily, I had to calibrate the whole formula to allow Neroli to stay in the same room with Sex and The Sea.
But the result was so hypnotic and sexy, so refreshing and warm, that I decided to produce this little treasure and not just to keep it for my personal use.
I have to admit that I have a soft spot for an anti-snobbish attitude (though probably being unconsciously snobbish myself) therefore the simple idea of creating something as commercial as a “flanker” was exhilarating.
Sex and The Sea Neroli presents – as the original version – a heart of coconut, the saltiness of the sea, the sweet sweat of a warm skin but this time with a hint of narcotic freshness, which makes the perfume more complex and its evolution more intriguing.
PS: the logo is a drawing of mine, an imaginary union of a Neroli flower and a starfish.

Top Notes: The initial burst offers a vibrant citrus accord with sparkling Bergamot and the green bitterness of Petit-Grain. A touch of sweetness from Honey adds depth, while the star of the show, Neroli, introduces its characteristic floral freshness.
Heart Notes: As the fragrance unfolds, a captivating blend emerges. The creamy sweetness of Coconut evokes a tropical beach vibe, complemented by the delicate floral nuances of Mimosa and Rose. A subtle marine accord hints at the "sea" aspect, while Immortelle lends its unique, slightly spicy, almost salty character. Iris adds a powdery touch, creating a smooth transition to the base.
Base Notes: The long-lasting dry down is warm, sensual, and slightly animalic. Sandalwood and Vetiver provide a woody foundation, enhanced by the resinous sweetness of Labdanum and Benzoin. Ambergris contributes a salty, musky warmth, while hints of Civet and Vanilla add a touch of animalic sensuality, creating a lingering, unforgettable trail.
