The Italian Gianni Versace had a good taste for fashion since childhood, when he helped his mother to embroider dresses with precious stones and gold thread. After studying architecture, Genny and Callaghan brands hired him to design their collections. In 1978, Gianni Versace S.p.A was launched with the opening of his first store in Milan Via della Spiga.
