Amnesia was born on Ibiza in 1976, a club that materialised the ideals of a philosopher who transformed a Spanish finca into a sanctuary of music and freedom. Antonio Escohotado gave the club the name "El taller de los olvidadizos" or "The Workshop of Forgetfulness”, which was replaced by the Greek word of the same meaning.
