SOLGAR
The good fats include omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential fatty acids. They are called essential because the body is not able to produce them on its own. Solgar EPA/GLA contains the most important types of omega-3, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). They are commonly found in oily fish such as sardines, mackerel and salmon.
GLA (gamma-linolenic acid, from the omega-6 series), which is also included in this formula, is obtained from borage seed oil. Borage, also known as starflower, is a plant commonly found in Asia, North Africa and Europe. It has been used since ancient times in traditional medicine and is a rich source of fatty acids. This formula also contains vitamin E which helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
