3. Insert the folded cup into the vagina, aiming towards the tailbone. It should sit lower than a tampon.
4. Once inside, rotate the cup slightly to ensure it opens fully and creates a seal against the vaginal walls. You may feel a slight pop or suction.
5. Check the seal: Run a finger around the base of the cup to make sure it's fully open and not folded.
6. Removal: Wash your hands thoroughly. Gently pinch the base of the cup to break the seal and pull it out. Empty the contents into the toilet.
7. Clean the cup: Rinse the cup thoroughly with water and a mild, unscented soap. You can also sterilize it by boiling it in water for 5-7 minutes between periods.
