Reach over your head with your opposite hand and pull your ear upward and slightly outward. 4. Hold the earplug in place for a few seconds while it expands to fill the ear canal. 6. Repeat steps 2-5 for the other ear. 7. To remove, gently grasp the stem of the earplug and slowly pull it outwards. Do not twist or yank.
