Directions for Use:
1. Before first use, clean the thermometer probe with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol.
2. Turn on the thermometer by pressing the ON/OFF button. 3. Wait for the display to show "Lo" or a similar indication. 4. For oral use, place the probe under the tongue, towards the back of the mouth. Close your mouth and keep the thermometer in place until you hear a beep.
5. For axillary use (armpit), place the probe in the armpit and ensure close contact with the skin. Hold the arm against the body until you hear a beep.
6. For rectal use (infants and small children only), apply a small amount of water-based lubricant to the probe. Gently insert the probe no more than 1/2 inch into the rectum. Hold the thermometer in place until you hear a beep.
7. Once the beep sounds, remove the thermometer and read the temperature displayed. 8. Turn off the thermometer by pressing the ON/OFF button. 9. Clean the thermometer probe again after each use. 10. Store the thermometer in its protective cover.
Recommended Frequency:
As needed to monitor body temperature. This may vary depending on individual circumstances, such as illness or monitoring of basal body temperature.
Additional Tips:
1. Do not bite the thermometer. 2. Do not drop the thermometer. 3. Keep the thermometer out of reach of children when not in use. 4. For accurate readings, wait at least 15 minutes after eating, drinking, or smoking before taking oral temperature. 5. Axillary readings may be slightly lower than oral or rectal readings. 6. Rectal readings are generally considered the most accurate, but should only be used for infants and small children when other methods are not feasible. 7. Consult a healthcare professional if you have any concerns about your temperature or how to use the thermometer.
Electronic components, Plastic housing (likely ABS or similar), Mercury-free temperature sensor (thermistor or similar), Battery (typically button cell, e.g., LR41, SR41), LCD screen, Packaging materials (cardboard, plastic blister)
