How to use
Ingredients
Product Reference: #251771
Directions for Use: 1. Prepare the skin: Ensure the skin is clean, dry, and free of oils or lotions. Clean the area with a mild antiseptic if necessary. 2. Measure and cut: Determine the size of Tegaderm Roll needed to cover the area, allowing for overlap beyond the wound or area of concern. Cut the Tegaderm Roll to the appropriate size. 3. Peel and apply: Carefully peel away the paper backing, exposing the adhesive side of the film. Avoid touching the adhesive surface. 4. Apply to skin: Gently apply the Tegaderm Roll to the skin, starting from one edge and smoothing it out to avoid wrinkles or air bubbles. 5. Secure edges: Ensure the edges are securely adhered to the skin. 6. Remove the frame (if applicable): Some Tegaderm Roll products have a frame or border. Remove this frame carefully, leaving only the transparent film on the skin. 7. Monitor: Regularly check the Tegaderm Roll for any signs of lifting, contamination, or irritation.
Recommended Frequency: Change the Tegaderm Roll as needed, typically every 3-7 days, or more frequently if it becomes soiled, damaged, or if there are signs of infection or excessive moisture under the film. The specific frequency depends on the condition being treated and the amount of exudate (fluid) present.
Additional Tips: To prevent skin irritation, avoid stretching the Tegaderm Roll excessively during application. When removing the Tegaderm Roll, gently peel it back slowly, supporting the surrounding skin. Consider using an adhesive remover if necessary. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Store Tegaderm Roll in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
