Each successful formula is regularly re-assessed for possible improvements which can result in a formulation change. In 1971 Clinque’s first women’s perfume, Aromatics Elixier was introduced. A chypre floral based scent it has been the brand’s signature scent for over 40 years yet it is the women’s perfume Happy, launched in 1998, that is their best seller. With a nice balance of citrus and flora this perfume appeals more to the younger set. Happy for Men with its crisp citrus and musky undertones was introduced a year later in 1999.
