Size B is recommended to all women who have given birth vaginally.
Pelvic Floor Tone: The pelvic floor muscles, also known as vaginal muscles, play an important role when wearing a menstrual cup because they determine the width of the vaginal canal and are the muscles that hold the cup in place. Like any other muscle group, as we age they lose elasticity, and are often affected by pregnancy or hormonal changes. If you know you have a weaker pelvic floor, (for example, if you experience bladder leaks or have lost vaginal tone) we recommend that you use size B.

Directions for Use:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
2. Fold: Fold the Lily Cup Compact twice to create a compact shape.
Several folds are possible, experiment to find what works best for you.
3. Insert: Hold the folded cup firmly and gently insert it into the vagina, aiming towards your tailbone. The cup should sit completely below the cervix.
4. Rotate: Once inside, rotate the cup 360 degrees to ensure it opens fully and creates a seal against the vaginal walls.
5. Removal: Wash your hands thoroughly. Locate the stem of the cup. Gently pinch the base of the cup to break the seal. Slowly pull the cup out, keeping it upright to avoid spills.
6. Empty and Clean: Empty the collected menstrual fluid into the toilet. Wash the cup thoroughly with warm water and a mild, unscented soap. Rinse completely.
7. Storage: Allow the cup to dry completely before storing it in its protective case.
Recommended Frequency:
The Lily Cup Compact can be worn for up to 12 hours. Empty and clean the cup at least twice a day, or more frequently if needed for heavier flows.
Additional Tips:
Choosing the right size: Size A is generally recommended for those who haven't given birth vaginally. If you've given birth vaginally or have a weaker pelvic floor, Size B is recommended. If you are unsure which size is right for you, consult with your healthcare provider.
Trimming the stem: If the stem is uncomfortable, you can trim it slightly, but be careful not to cut it too short. Leave a small portion to grip for removal.
Practice makes perfect: It may take a few cycles to get comfortable with inserting and removing the cup. Be patient and experiment with different folding techniques.
Sterilization: Boil the Lily Cup Compact in water for 5-7 minutes before your first use and after each period. You can also use sterilizing tablets or solutions specifically designed for menstrual cups.
Leakage: If you experience leakage, ensure the cup has fully opened and created a seal. Try rotating it or repositioning it. If leakage persists, you may need a different size or fold.
Discomfort: If you experience any pain or discomfort, remove the cup immediately and consult with your healthcare provider.
