Albert Fouquet

This perfumer is the author of one of the most popular brands of BeautyTheShop: Eight & Bob. Albert Fouquet, a member of the French high society in the twentieth century, was interested in perfumery and thought outside the box. For this reason, he decided to create his own perfume.
During the summer of 1937, Albert met in the French Riviera a young man called John F. Kennedy. Kennedy fell in love with his perfume, so he asked Fouquet for a sample to try it. Albert didn’t hesitate and immediately gave him one as a gift. Back in his country, Kennedy wrote a letter to Albert asking him for eight more samples and one more for Bob. Albert didn’t know who Bob was, but either way, he sent the perfumes with “Eight and Bob” on the label. After his death, his butler took charge of the production of perfumes, which was also interrupted by the Second World War. Some years later, the butler’s family found the fragrances hidden in books and decided to resume its fabrication.
