Christian Carbonnel, also known as Chris Maurice, was born into one of Spain's most prestigious families in the perfume industry. His grandfather founded his own company in 1925, which was passed down through generations until it reached Christian.
According to him, whenever he travels, whether for leisure or business, upon arriving at his hotel, he already has a bag filled with scent samples he has collected to analyze and study. He also personally gathers raw materials from around the world. One of his favorite ingredients is oud, also known as "black gold".
This master perfumer has collaborated with major internationally renowned brands. One of his latest collaborations has been with the niche perfumery house Xerjoff, for which he has created unique fragrances such as More Than Words, Erba Pura, Accento and Alexandria II.
