Albert Fouquet

This perfumer was the creator of one of BeautyTheShop's most popular brands: Eight & Bob. Albert Fouquet, a Frenchman from high society in the 20th century, had a great admiration for the world of perfumery and rejected conventionalism. That is why he decided to create his own fragrance.

One summer day in 1937, Albert met a young man named John F. Kennedy on the French Riviera. Kennedy, enamored with the perfume, asked for a sample to try. Without hesitation, the Frenchman gifted him one. When Kennedy returned to his country, he wrote a letter to Albert asking him to send eight samples and another one "for Bob." The perfumer didn't quite understand the "Bob" part, but nevertheless, he decided to send them and labeled the package "Eight & Bob."

After Albert's death, his butler took over the production, which was interrupted by World War II. Years later, the butler's family found the fragrances hidden inside books and decided to revive their commercialization.

Some of his fragrances are Cap D'Antibes and Memories de Mustique. If you want to find other creations by Albert Fouquet, take a look at our website, BeautyTheShop.
