Rhodiola is a perennial plant that grows on dry sandy soils on rocky slopes and cliffs. It grows particularly well in the high mountains and cold regions of Europe, Central Asia and North America. Its greatest richness lies in its underground part, the root, which exudes a delicate, rose-like perfume.
