Leukomed T Plus 5 Sterile Transparent Absorbent Dressings 8 x 10 cm are compress dressings indicated for the waterproof coverage of low to moderately exuding post-operative wounds.
Their transparent polyurethane backing is impermeable to water, bacteria and viruses, allowing water activities and limiting the risk of infection. It is also permeable to air and water vapour, which limits skin maceration.
Highly conformable, its acrylic adhesive mass offers high skin tolerance. Radiolucent, its central pad is neutral, absorbent, non-adherent and adhesive on all 4 sides for better support and optimal wound protection.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Follow the doctor's or pharmacist's prescription.
Store away from moisture and direct sunlight.
Do not use if packaging is damaged.
Indication: Post-operative wound care.

Directions for Use:


1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before applying the dressing.
2. Cleanse the wound area as directed by your healthcare professional.
3. Dry the skin around the wound completely.
4. Open the sterile packaging carefully, avoiding touching the adhesive side of the dressing.
5. Peel off the protective backing from the dressing.
6. Center the dressing over the wound, ensuring the absorbent pad covers the entire wound area.
7. Smooth the edges of the dressing firmly onto the surrounding skin to ensure a secure seal.
8. Avoid stretching the dressing during application.


Recommended Frequency:


Change the dressing as directed by your healthcare professional or when it becomes saturated, soiled, or loses its adhesive properties. This is typically every 1-3 days, but may vary depending on the wound's condition.


Additional Tips:


1. Do not reuse the dressing.
2. Discontinue use and consult your healthcare professional if signs of infection develop, such as increased pain, redness, swelling, or discharge.
3. Store unused dressings in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
4. Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
5. This product is intended for single-patient use.
6. For optimal wound healing, follow your healthcare professional's instructions regarding wound care and any other prescribed treatments.
