Even though Geek & Gorgeous is a young brand, if I want to go back to our beginnings, that would be more than 15 years ago. I was 17 when I developed horrible acne. For years, I tried out a bunch of things including tons of cosmetic products, facials, and visits to the dermatologist. What eventually helped was not some miracle cure but me starting to learn about skincare and clinically proven active ingredients. After years of randomly trying things and failing, I started to obsessively read and learn. I read all the books by Paula Begoun and then went on to read the famous Cosmetic Dermatology book by Dr. Leslie Baumann. I read more and more science based skincare blogs, forums, and eventually research studies. In 2019, I completed the SCS Diploma in Cosmetic Science issued by the Society of Cosmetic Chemists in the UK.

Salicylic acid is a well-known oil-soluble acid that is the gold standard in treating blackheads and enlarged pores. This exfoliating superstar can unclog pores and balance blackhead-prone, oily skin by working inside the pores to clear out dead skin cells that clog them. Sarcosine joins forces with BHA to further improve combination skin-related problems such as excess oil production.

Directions: 1. Cleanse your face thoroughly. 2. Apply a few drops of Geek & Gorgeous Porefectly Clear to your face. 3. Allow the product to absorb fully. 4. Follow with your other serums and moisturizers.
Recommended Frequency: Use once a day or every other day, either in the morning (AM) or evening (PM).
Additional Tips: 1. Start with every other day application and gradually increase to daily use as tolerated. 2. Sun sensitivity: This product contains a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) which may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, especially during and after use. 3. If irritation occurs, reduce frequency of use or discontinue use. 4. For best results, use consistently. 5. Patch test: It's always recommended to perform a patch test on a small area of skin before applying to the entire face, especially if you have sensitive skin. 6.
