Instructions for Use:

1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. 2. Remove the protective tab from the needle. 3. Firmly attach the needle to your insulin pen by twisting it clockwise until secure. 4. Remove the outer needle shield. 5. Prime the pen according to your pen's instructions to remove air bubbles. 6. Select your prescribed dose of insulin. 7. Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab. 8. Insert the needle into the skin at a 90-degree angle (straight in).
9. Inject the insulin by pressing the injection button completely. 10. Keep the needle inserted for at least 10 seconds after injecting to ensure the full dose is delivered.
11. Remove the needle from the skin. 12. Immediately activate the BD AutoShield Duo safety mechanism by pushing the needle shield forward until it clicks into place, covering both ends of the needle.
13. Carefully unscrew the needle from the pen and dispose of it safely in a sharps container.

Recommended Frequency:

This needle is designed for single use only. Never reuse a needle. Replace the needle after each injection to minimize pain, prevent lipohypertrophy (fatty lumps under the skin), and reduce the risk of infection.

Additional Tips:

Always follow your healthcare provider's instructions regarding insulin injection technique and dosage.
Rotate your injection sites to avoid lipohypertrophy.
Store unused needles at room temperature away from direct sunlight and moisture.
