Place the lancing device against the chosen puncture site (typically the side of a fingertip). 7. Press the release button to activate the lancing device. 8. Gently apply pressure to the puncture site to obtain a blood sample. 9. After use, carefully remove the used lancet from the lancing device using the reusable protective cap. Dispose of the used lancet safely in a sharps container. 10. Replace the protective cap on the lancing device.
